George L. Gibbs is an “AV” rated attorney for the past thirty-eight (38) years and earned his juris doctor degree from Loyola Law School. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gibbs graduated from the University of New Orleans with a degree in political science and served as a line officer in the United States Navy until 1971. His background in military aviation has contributed to his ongoing professional interaction with the aviation community and his membership in the United States Naval Institute.
Mr. Gibbs is a founding member of the firm and his primary practice is in commercial transactions and business litigation. He has an extensive background in residential and commercial real estate transactions and has worked heavily in the fields of banking and international trade. He has years of experience in bringing real estate transactions to fruition and assuring compliance with all necessary laws and technical details. Mr. Gibbs also acts as an arbitrator in contract and commercial transactions and serves on the panel of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association.
Mr. Gibbs’ practice is concentrated in the area of real estate law and litigation. He has extensive experience in commercial and residential real estate transactions, and has represented clients in numerous multi-family, office building, and shopping center transactions, including negotiations for local and state governmental approval and permitting. Mr. Gibbs has extensive experience in contract and real estate litigation, and has represented numerous out of state clients moving into Louisiana in connection with real estate acquisitions.
Mr. Gibbs is married and has three children and lives in the New Orleans area.
